Private Label Period Swimwear Development

A private-label route for brands that need a controlled period swimwear base with their own labels, packaging and market-specific claim review.

Private Label Period Swimwear Development — Ljvogues manufacturing
Made in Shenzhen · working worldwide

A private-label period swimwear programme is more than changing a neck label. The base silhouette, gusset, lining, care instructions, packaging and claims must still agree with the actual product. The buyer needs a controlled reference before artwork or retail commitments are made.

Choose the right base first

Start from an approved swim reference: seamless boyshort, high-waist short, drawstring short or bodysuit. Confirm the fit block, size grade, lining route, gusset position and intended use. If the buyer changes the silhouette or materials, the project becomes a development programme rather than a simple label change.

What can be customised

  • Outer colours and print direction within the approved material route.
  • Waist height, leg line and selected fit variables after review.
  • Brand labels, hangtags, polybags, pouches, boxes and carton marks.
  • Barcode, SKU and carton data required by the channel.
  • Language and artwork, subject to a final label review.

What cannot be assumed

A private-label logo does not create a new test result. The buyer must confirm whether the selected sample and material reports still apply to the final colour, BOM and packaging. The care label, fibre composition, market language and claim wording must match the actual product. If the channel requires a document, the request should be raised before the purchase order.

Project inputs for a quote

Input What to provide Why it affects the route
Product reference Reference code, sketch or tech pack Defines whether this is ODM adaptation or new development
Size and colour Size curve, colour count and print direction Drives material planning and sample scope
Packaging Format, dimensions, artwork and barcode status Changes tooling, pack inspection and shipping data
Market Destination, language and required documents Determines the review and claim file
Quantity and timing Estimated first order and target date Allows a project-specific MOQ and capacity response

Approval path

  1. Reference and feasibility review.
  2. Fit, gusset and material approval.
  3. Label and packaging proof.
  4. Test and claim review for the selected market.
  5. Pre-production approval and release to bulk.

Keep product data under control

Private label projects create several versions of the same product: the base sample, the buyer’s colour, the packaging proof and the production specification. Keep their identifiers separate. If a buyer later changes a lining, supplier, label position or carton count, the older approval should not be reused silently. A short change log is more useful than relying on email history.

What to send first

Send the reference code or a sketch, the target market, the size and colour plan, the requested packaging format and the buyer’s label artwork status. The first review can then identify whether the project is an ODM adaptation, a new pattern, or a packaging-only brief.

Buyer questions

Can you use our existing packaging?

Yes, if dimensions, materials, artwork, barcode data and pack inspection requirements are approved. The packaging must still protect the product and match the final label and claim file.

Can we start with one colour?

Yes. A controlled first colour is often easier to validate before adding more materials or prints. Later colours should trigger a new material and test review where relevant.

Do you provide retail-ready barcodes?

The buyer normally owns the barcode and product data. The factory can verify placement and print quality against the approved artwork and carton specification.

Can our brand use the same reference as another buyer?

A shared base pattern can be adapted, but exclusivity, ownership, materials and artwork must be agreed in the commercial documents. A public page cannot grant exclusivity.
