Period Underwear MOQ, Sampling, Pricing & Lead Time
Custom MOQ depends on the style, fabric and manufacturing process. We quote each style individually instead of using a single figure. Ready-stock wholesale starts at 50 pieces.
What Affects Custom MOQ
- Fabric: stock fabric or custom-developed
- Colour and print: stock colours or custom dyeing and printing
- Construction: standard sewn, seamless or bonded
- Absorbent build and layer count
- Trims, lace and branding
Sampling
- You send the brief.
- We quote development and sample cost.
- We make the sample in your fabric and gusset build.
- We test the sample for the claims you plan to make.
- You approve or request changes.
Sample cost and timing are confirmed in your quote.
Production Timing
Production timing depends on the style, fabric availability and quantity, and we confirm it at quotation.
Capacity
Our standard monthly capacity is more than 500,000 pieces, scalable to 1,600,000 units.
MOQ and sampling questions
Why is there no single custom MOQ?
Fabric minimums, colour or print development, construction method, trims and packaging all change the efficient production batch. The quote needs to show those assumptions.
What determines sample timing?
Pattern work, fabric availability, trim sourcing and the number of review rounds are the main variables. Testing adds time after a physical sample is approved.
When does bulk production timing start?
The production window is confirmed in the quotation and generally depends on sample approval, material readiness and the agreed commercial terms.
Can we compare quotes from different suppliers?
Yes, but compare the same fabric, gusset, size range, packaging and testing assumptions. A headline MOQ without those details is not a like-for-like comparison.
For the cost drivers behind a quotation, see period panties manufacturing cost.
Period Underwear MOQ: How a Project Is Quoted
What Drives Custom MOQ
A fabric mill, a dye house and a trim supplier each set their own minimums. A style that uses stock fabric in a stock colour needs less than one with a custom print, custom lace and a custom gusset. This is why a responsible manufacturer quotes a minimum per style.
Made-to-Order Wholesale
Made-to-order programmes exist so that new sellers can test a style without committing to a custom run. At Ljvogues made-to-order production starts at the quoted project MOQ. That figure applies to project-specific styles only.
How to Plan a Launch
- Start with a made-to-order style to test your customer.
- Choose the style that sells and write a brief for a custom version.
- Ask for a per-style quote that shows fabric, process and trim assumptions.
- Compare quotes on the same assumptions, not on a headline MOQ.
Period Underwear Sample Development
What a sample has to prove
A sample is not only a visual prototype. For period underwear it has to show whether the pattern fits, whether the gusset stays in place, whether the layers feel acceptable, and whether the construction can survive the intended wash routine. We review those questions before discussing bulk production.
A typical sampling sequence
- Brief and reference review
- Pattern and tech pack approval
- Fabric and trim selection
- First sample build
- Fit and construction review
- Revision or second sample if needed
- Test plan and final approval
What to prepare
- Reference garment or clear sketches
- Intended flow level and wearing occasion
- Fabric direction and preferred handfeel
- Size range and target fit
- Target capacity and gusset coverage
- Labels, packaging and market requirements
- Target quantity and timing
Comments that move the project forward
“Feels wrong” is difficult to action. A useful comment identifies the location and the direction: the gusset is too short at the rear, the waistband rolls when sitting, the leg opening is tight, the layer stack feels bulky, or the colour is too warm.
