Period Underwear Testing, Documents & Claim Boundaries
How each certificate and test report applies to a specific period underwear construction, material set and market claim.
What the current documents cover
| Document | Scope supported by the file | Reference |
|---|---|---|
| OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 | Period panties produced from the listed knitted or laminated fabric constructions, including listed accessories and exclusively pre-certified components. Product Class I, Annex 6. | Certificate 26.HCN.12213 · valid until 31 July 2027 |
| GOTS scope certificate | Reusable period panties in 100% organic cotton. The certificate lists brand and trading activities in Shenzhen and manufacturing through a listed non-certified subcontractor in Shantou. | Licence GOTS-BVCN9928 · valid 4 September 2026 to 3 September 2027 |
| ISO 9001 | Sales activities for the listed women’s period panties and related underwear. It is not a certification of every factory process, product safety or absorbency performance. | Certificate 62726Q00153R001 · valid to 1 March 2029 |
| PFAS test report | A submitted TPU-based waterproof barrier film. The listed PFAS were reported as not detected at the report’s reporting limits. | Report EFW726020391 · issued 6 February 2026 |
Each document has a defined scope. We check the selected shell, lining, barrier, elastic, lace, thread, print, adhesive and label against that scope before approving public wording.
PFAS: material report, not a whole-range claim
Report EFW726020391 describes one TPU-based waterproof barrier film intended for the leak-proof layer of menstrual underwear. It does not establish PFAS results for every finished garment, colour, print, trim or adhesive. A buyer who needs a finished-garment claim should plan testing on the final bill of materials and intended market method.
ND in a targeted report means not detected at the stated reporting limits. It is not the same as a universal statement that all PFAS are absent from every component.
GOTS: product scope, facility route and transaction certificate
The GOTS scope certificate lists reusable period panties in 100% organic cotton. It also identifies Shenzhen brand and trading activities and a non-certified subcontractor in Shantou for manufacturing. The applicable production route must match the certificate scope for each project.
A scope certificate is not proof that a delivered order is GOTS certified. A valid transaction certificate is required for the goods, and the final fibre content, components and GOTS label use must be confirmed before production.
ISO 9001: sales activities, not product performance
Certificate 62726Q00153R001 covers sales of women’s period panties and related underwear. It should not be presented as certification of all manufacturing processes, product safety, leak performance or absorbency.
What we check before using a claim
- The exact product, colour, size and bill of materials
- The certificate or report issue date, reference and stated scope
- Whether the intended market requires finished-product testing
- Which wording is supported by the result and which remains a project target
- Who approves the final label, listing and claim package
Materials and inspection
Our standard materials policy excludes antimicrobial finishes such as silver, copper and triclosan, formaldehyde-based finishes and stain-resistant finishes. Inspection and test requirements are agreed for the product route, with the relevant process locations and records identified in the project file.
Period underwear compliance questions
Which certificates and reports can we review?
We can provide the current OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certificate, GOTS scope certificate, ISO 9001 sales-scope certificate and PFAS barrier-material report. Review each reference and scope against the exact product.
Does the PFAS report cover finished garments?
No. EFW726020391 covers a submitted TPU-based barrier film. It does not establish results for every finished garment or every component. Finished-garment testing can be scoped for the selected BOM and claim.
Does the GOTS scope certificate prove a shipment is certified?
No. The scope certificate defines the certified operation and product scope. A GOTS-labelled shipment also needs a valid transaction certificate covering the goods.
Does OEKO-TEX cover every future style?
No. It covers the period-panty constructions and listed accessories within certificate 26.HCN.12213. A new fabric, colour, print, adhesive or trim must be checked against the current scope.
Does ISO 9001 certify the factory’s production processes?
No. The supplied certificate covers sales activities for the listed products. It is not a product-safety, absorbency or all-process manufacturing certification.
